Coats and Winter Layers

A small department that does the job the knits cannot: wind, weather and the walk from the car. Trenches and pea coats here are woven rather than knitted, with a proper collar and a buttoned front.

The quilted vests are the layering piece: they go over a chunky knit without fighting the sleeve, and that is exactly where a coat with sleeves is a problem.

Sizing follows what goes underneath. A coat over a cable knit wants a size up. A vest over a ribbed top does not.

None of these are rated for real cold. They are autumn and mild-winter layers, and in January in the north you will want more than this department sells.
